Isle of Palms County Park

(25 minutes from the North Charleston Inn)

Located at One 14th Ave, between Palm Ave and Ocean Blvd. Isle of Palms maintains a longstanding reputation as a family-friendly, noncommercial site that truly represents the best of South Carolina’s beaches. Featuring a range of leisure and sports activities, from beach-side bars to numerous volleyball courts as well as accessible showers and bathrooms, this beach and the surrounding community are characterized by a quaint, small-town vibe even in the height of the season.

Sullivan’s Island

(25 minutes from the North Charleston Inn)

Head North out of downtown Charleston on US 17/US 26 N. The island is also the site of the famous Fort Moultrie, which was used during the Revolutionary War, the Civil War and up to World War II. The quaint Middle Street of the island has many fun restaurants and lends the island a sense of an “old-fashioned neighborhood”. A large recreation area provides residents and visitors tennis courts, basketball courts, a gazebo and a playground to enjoy.

Folly Beach

(30 minutes from the North Charleston Inn)

Head South down I-526 ti US 17 and follow Folly Road/171 south until the road ends. The shops and great restaurants on Folly Beach lend to the amazing experience and atmosphere of the village. The Folly Beach pier extends more than 1,045 feet into the Atlantic Ocean where sightings of dolphins and bald eagles are quite common. Fishing on the pier brings in all sizes and species of saltwater life.
